Can we move content between from Umbraco 4.7 to Umbraco 7+ version

Can we move contents between from Umbraco 4.7 to Umbraco 7+ version. Is there are any tools or packages for that. If yes, what all things to take care of ?

    Hi Arunabha,

If you upgrade your 4.7 installation to Umbraco 4.11.x at first place by following these guidelines. https://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Getting-Started/Setup/Upgrading/

Then you can use the package called CMSImport to move content between two Umbraco installations.

    https://our.umbraco.org/projects/developer-tools/cmsimport/

    Hope this helps,

    /Dennis

    Hi Arunabha

What do you mean whan you say migration? Can you ellaborate a bit more on that? :)

I think that Dennis actually provided a way of achieving it with his reply above since that's also the way I understand the term "migration". Even though it involves an upgrade but that's too make things easier since there are big changes between 4.7 and 4.11 releases in the underlying API's etc. which are more compatible so to say in 4.11 and v7 than in v4.7 of Umbraco.

You can also checkout usync to see if it can do what you have in mind. https://our.umbraco.org/projects/developer-tools/usync/

But be aware that it's not supported in v4.7.

    Just my 2 cents.

    /Jan
