Hi, I am new to Umbraco and I want to create some reusable items for my website. I saw the training videos on http://umbraco.tv/ and read some articles. Now I have a way in my mind but I hope to find a better way. Can anyone help me?

I know I can create a macro, add my parameters to that macro and then call my surface controller from my macro, passing the parameters as the model. Is it the best I can do?

Sample: I want to have a news list module to use on different pages. So I need to pass parameters like number of news on page, has paging, etc to it and then fill this values on each page
