With the media picker, users can re-use previously uploaded images.

However, with the image cropper, this doesn't seem to be an option, ie you have to upload an image each time - is there any way to reuse previously created crops?

What I would really like is to give users who create certain document types the choice of uploading a new or re-using a previously uploaded crop.

I suspect the only way is (if indeed we can reuse crops) is to put both on the form, and then in the template display whichever is non-empty.

Or is there a clever solution?
