I would like CSS files to be composited and minified, but JS files to ONLY be minified. I can't work out how to set up the config to do that - is it possible?
I'd guess so. You'd have to check the documentation, but I'd guess that if you use a different provider for JS and CSS then you could make the distinction.

ClientDependency - different settings for Css and JS
