I just upgraded an Umbraco site from version 6.2.5 to 6.2.6 but the upgrade wizard took more than 20 minutes to complete the database step.
What happens behind the scenes since this upgrade just fixes 1 issue?
It shouldn't take anything like that, but could it be that the issue that it fixed is what you experienced? http://issues.umbraco.org/issue/U4-6292
That is completed eventually presumably means that you're just curious rather than there is an outstanding issue?
No, don't think so. During the upgrade nothing was really happening on the server. Only minor use of memory and CPU.
