How to create a new tab in Umbraco's Back-end?

    Hello,

I want to create a new tab in Umbraco's Back-end. Is there a document for how to do that? Look at the picture below and you will see that I need to create a tab with all features like the existed one (Content, Media, Developer etc..)

    Hi Nguyen,

Okay so you want to create a new custom section in Umbraco CMS. Try to have a look at this video from the UK festival 2014 about how to create a custom section

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_sX9eZSn9HI

You can find some example code here https://bitbucket.org/dawoe/umbukfestival2014, or the documentation about sections and trees here https://our.umbraco.org/documentation/extending/section-trees/

    Hope this helps,

    /Dennis

    Hi,

In addition to the excellent resources provided by Dennis you can also have a look at the latest Skrift Edition. It features an article on creating custom sections : http://skrift.io/articles/archive/sections-and-trees-in-umbraco-7/

If it's just a custom dashboard in a existing section this is a good starting point : https://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Extending/Dashboards/
