hello - Our client has been reporting outages on their production Umbraco website recently. Inspecting the log files indicates something is causing the Umbraco application to restart sporadically. An example as follows:
We saw this issue as well in the past. Every time a user saved something in the backend the application restarted. Because some files get updated when you save or publish (examine indexes, umbraco.config)
The cause was a MS update being installed on the server.
hi Dave, many thanks for the reply. That ticket seems to be regarding win8 / server 2012. Our server is 2008 R2 and I can't find any confirmation this OS was affected in exactly the same way or if there was a patch? Do you know? thanks

We saw this issue as well in the past. Every time a user saved something in the backend the application restarted. Because some files get updated when you save or publish (examine indexes, umbraco.config)
The cause was a MS update being installed on the server.
