Publish issues after TLS 1.0 disabled (v4.11.10)

    Hello,

I have a legacy site on v4.11.10 where publishing stopped working when TLS 1.0 was disallowed on the environment.

Any ideas if this is expected behaviour or what I can do to resolve it?

It is a security recommendation to disable 1.0.

    Thanks, Carole

Quick answer is .net versions earlier than 4.5 use TLS 1.0. You'll need to recompile at a higher version, to use TLS 1.1/1.2.

    Thanks David.

Would getting the source of Umbraco v4.11.10 and rebuilding targeting 4.5 .Net work?

    Thanks, Carole

I don't know for sure, but I doubt it. Pretty sure V4 was 2.0 only. Good reason to upgrade to V6.

Thanks for the quick reply David.

Upgrade to 6 isn't really an option unfortunately. I'll look into the options and post here if I find a way to rebuild the source to work with TLS 1.1 or 1.2.

    Thanks,

    Carole
