Deleted Page still showing up on the front end

    Hi

    So using Umbraco 7.4.3

I have a node that i created called 'Sitemap' this used https://our.umbraco.org/projects/collaboration/search-engine-sitemap/ Doc Type.

I have removed the Doc Type, Deleted the Templates and Deleted the node 'Sitemap'

I created a new page, of a different Doc Type 'Generic Page' and called it the same page 'Sitemap'

When i now navigate to the page /sitemap I am still seeing the old page!!!

I have cleared and rebuilt the index, resarted IIS, hit the web.config file, Deleted the umbraco.config file, deleted everything from the trash can, deleted the TEMP folder but it's still showing the old page!!!

What do i need to do to get it to show the new page?

Incidentally If i hit the Preview button of that page, I get to see the new page?? This is ridiculous! What do i have to do for it to show the actual page in the node structure? Any ideas?!?

Could it be a cache issue? Have you tried clearing your browser cache or navigating to the /sitemap on another computer/browser?

    Hi Dennis

    Yep, cleared the browsers cache.

And just logged into a computer that has never access the site and navigated to the /sitemap

It's still showing the old page?

The weird thing is if i press the 'Preview' button in the back office so you can view it.

    It shows the correct page!!?!!

That is very strange. Sounds like the Sitemap package is not uninstalled correctly or somehing.

Could you, just to try, rename the sitemap node to ex. sitemapTest and se if you can navigate to /sitemaptest to se the new page?

    Hi

Yep, renaming it and then navigating to that page /sitemaptest shows the correct page.

But i do need it to be /sitemap

Yeah, i get that. It was just for testing.

I actually have no idea. It sounds very much as a cache issue but as you mentioned that is not the case.

Could you try and re-publish the entire site?

    Hi

Yep tried that ans still getting the same old page.

Is there a way to check if it's pulling from the DB or if it's a cached file.

Is there a db table i can manually delete this node from?

Ok got to the bottom of this eventually!

I was using another plugin CMS Umbraco Tools - https://our.umbraco.org/projects/developer-tools/cm-umbraco-tools/

This has an option where it creates a sitemap.xml file, this was overriding the node i was creating as /sitemap

Uninstalling the plugin allowed my node to render and the correct page to show.

    PHEW!!
