Forms is a form building tool made to make it easy for editors to create forms such as simple contact forms to advanced multi-step questionaires.

what is the difference between contour and forms?

Umbraco Forms and Contour is the same thing. Contour was the original Umbraco Forms and was developed to replace Contour and has been designed to work with Umbraco 7.2 onwards.
