    Examine search not working after Umbraco upgrade

    Just in the process of trying to upgrade a site (from 7.1.4 to 7.4.3). After a lot of effort, and reference to way more help files than should be necessary, everything seems to be working nicely… apart from Examine search function, which has stopped working entirely.

    I remember spending a lot of time getting this to work when I first developed the site, but I'm not sure what I need to do now to get it working with 7.4.3…

    Does anybody have any ideas?

    You need rebuild indexes after upgrade, if you add custom index be sure that it not removed on upgrade

    OK,

    1. Let's see what name of index you use, External? or custom?
    2. please see in developer->Examine Management enter image description here that indexes are not empty (documents in index)
    3. please see query for search, may be it's based on custom columns
