    Upgrading Umbraco

    Hello,

Can I ask how other devs go about upgrading their existing Umbraco website, when a new release is made.

I long for the day of the one-click upgrade, but it seems Umbraco is a long way from being that easy.

If I'm doing an upgrade in Nuget, which config files are safe to overwrite and is it just the Bin, Umbraco & Umbraco_Client folders that need to be uploaded to the website.

    Thanks

    Paul

    Hi Paul,

Have you seen the documentation for how to upgrade an Umbraco installation https://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Getting-Started/Setup/Upgrading/general

For NuGet try to see this guide: https://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Getting-Started/Setup/Upgrading/general#are-you-using-nuget

    Hope this helps,

    /Dennis
