Requirements for running 4.03 on IIS8.5/Windows 2012R2?
Hello wizards,
First, I am a complete noob at Umbraco and I need serious help. The scenario; client needs to decommission their Windows 2003/IIS6 server that is running the corporate website. That site is running Umbraco 4.0.3.
My strategy is to create a site on the new server, Win2012/IIS8.5, and copy all the files over from the new server then do a full "step-up" upgrade all the way to 7.5.3. Not sure if this is the best strategy because I don't really know all the pieces I need for it to work. The documentation and what I can read on this forum is not clear to me. I do know the basics: ASP .Net 4.5, Trust levels set to Full, etc. but do I need anything else? MVC? Is this even the best strategy?
