I have a multilingual site where I have multiple node trees, one for each language. Each language tree is copied from the English tree using the "Relate to original" flag. This means I am able to switch between languages on the same page (i.e. same content but in different languages).
The challenge now is how to create a practical translation workflow. I have found the built in translation feature in Umbraco to be hard to understand. When an Administrator chooses "Send to translation" on a node, no e-mail seems to be sent to the translator nor is there any sign on the node that should be translated when the translator logs in.
So I thought I might take advantage of the "Relate to original" flag. Is there any way of notifying a user when a node in the original has been changed and needs updating/translation?
Copy, Relate to original
