Upgrade from 7.0.4 on a server to 7.5

Hi. I have tried to install a theme from Uskinned on a server (Unicahost) where i have a one-click installation of Umbraco 7.0.4. I need to upgrade to at least 7.2.8 as the theme is made for that as a minimum. I have tried to download 7.5.2 but I don't know how to install it on the server. And I cannot upgrade. I have tried to replace /bin, /Umbraco and /Umbraco_Client with the new ones from the 7.5.2-package but without success. The file manager won't unpack the zip files. What to do?

    Hi Finn,

If you want to upgrade your Umbraco installation then you should follow these guide which you can find here

    https://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Getting-Started/Setup/Upgrading/general

    https://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Getting-Started/Setup/Upgrading/version-specific

If you just want to install a fresh Umbraco installation on your server, then you need to download the latest version from here https://our.umbraco.org/download/ and then simply unzip and upload the files and folders to your website.

Then visit your website then you should see the installation wizard starts. Then it´s just following this, choose the database you want to use for the installation, and since you want to use a Uskinned theme, then you should take a clean installation.

When you have fill out our name, email and password, then you can click the customize button to choose database and there next if you want to install a starter kit or not.

    Hope this helps,

    /Dennis

Thanks. This explanation should be placed in the Help section, which I read over and over before I asked here.
