Sounds like you're trying to add HTML content to a form field were it's not allowed. Do you know what version of Umbraco you're using? And the content you're trying to save...is it something that you have copied from word and then pasted directly into Umbraco? If so then try pasting it into notepad first and then copy and paste the content from notepad into Umbraco and see if you're then allowed to save the content.
Hi Jan, and thanx for trying to help.
I'm using umbraco v 4.5.2 -
"to a form field"??? I don't understand this -
I get the error message no matter what I try to change and save, even if I just remove a ! or .
Maybe an update of Umbraco, is that possible, and if so, how?
Regards
Ok, so are you a developer or a content editor? Can you paste a screendump of what the page you're trying to edit looks like before you hit the publish button?
I'm a content editor.
It's with every page, and with every change I try, even if I just try to delete one letter...
What you see in this screen pic is found on www.happyhorses.dk
And maybe it's important that I have the same problem on every page if I hit the publish button, even without making any change - I get the error message....
Ok I see - Then all the tech stuff we mentioned before does not make any kind of sense to you :)
I'm afraid it's a bit hard for us to help you even further since it's an old version of Umbraco that you're using and we don't have a chance to figure out what is going on and why it's failing all of the sudden.
I suppose you have had some help from a freelancer or a company to develop the solution for you back in the days - Perhaps you can get in touch with them so they can investigate things further and help you out?
You're welcome - I hope you succeed so you can edit the content of your website again.
If you don't succeed getting in touch with those people who originally made your site then you can try getting in touch with the certified developers / companies listed on these pages https://umbraco.com/certified-partners/find-a-certified-developer/ - Perhaps it's a good idea to have a look at the version 4 list in your case.
sorry but u might as well be talking chinese - I've got no clue to what you mean.??? I've been changing things on my website for 8 years now, and all of a sudden I cant???
I am taking about this validation and description box it sometime gives error when you place description in validation box. hope you are able to understand
I truly appreciate your effort, but the page shown I've never seen nor would know where to find. I'm the content editor I should mention...

I am experiencing the very same issue. This could be caused by my version, 4.0.4.2 running on IIS 8.5. Site loads fine, but cant save at all.
