    Link to Document issues

    Hi,

    Question from a newbie :-)

I've created a list of Content which respresent my mainmenu. So far so good. Now I'm trying to create a "subitem" under one of the main items. That's also no problem but when I look at the Link to Document is see e.g. the following:

    Link to document: /organisation/

    Instead of /about-us/organisation/

    Why is de "/about-us" missing?

Can someone set me on the right track?

    Thanks in advance.

Can you post a screenshot of your content structure. Is everything under a "home" node.

    E.g.

    • Home
      • About Us
      • Contact Us
      • History

or have you put About-us at the root level the same as home?

    Hi Steve,

Hereby a screenshot. Names are in Dutch but the example I described is

    "Over ons" -> "Organisatie"

    Hi,

You can do this - there is a config setting somewhere to allow this but I've found it causes issues later on. I'd recommend you move it to have all pages under the homepage.

Usually you create a special doc type of Homepage and allow this at root and nothing else (except maybe a site settings node - or content block container).

I know some people see the home page as at the same level as their root page but consider the URL structure.

    www.mydomain/ -< home level 0 www.mydomain/about-us <- level 1
    www.mydomain/about-us/history <- level 2.

This also works beter if you ever add subdomains (you can bind subdomains to the root home nodes .e.g "DE" , "EN" "NL" etc etc.
