I was wondering - for those who are usjng Umbraco and Visual Studio - what speed / power of PC is required?
I searched the web and read one developer's advice for running Visual Studio. They were recommending an I7 processor and 16GB of ram (preferably 32GB of ram). It would be interesting to hear other's thoughts on Desktops to do this. It would give me an idea of cost on what is likely to be spent....
Umbraco has very low memory/CPU requirements. I myself have a 32GB Mac, but I typically develop with Umbraco from an 8GB Windows VM that's using half of my processors (so, 2 cores). I do have an SSD, and I find that helps speed things up.
