Umbraco Blogs: what do you use for commenting?

For those of you who are running blogs on Umbraco, what do you use for commenting? Custom built? 3rd party?

I am currently using Articulate for my blog and Disqus for the commenting system, but finding that Disqus is not super user-friendly. Just wondering if anyone out there knows of an alternative (other than facebook or google+ commenting)?

I've used uCommentsy as part of uBlogsy in the past, but would not recommend it (had some performance issues). Lately, the blogs I've been working on have just not had comments.

One option would be to create comments manually, then use UI-O-Matic to manage entries: https://our.umbraco.org/projects/developer-tools/ui-o-matic/

With a CAPTCHA, you may be able to prevent the bulk of spam. If you make your comments require approval before they're shown on the website, you may deter less savory types.

I'm curious to hear what others recommend.

We are using Disqus in the most cases, this question depends on budget of project, in most cases it's enough.
