    Upgrading from 7.2.4 to 7.5.7

    Hi,

    I ran an upgrade from 7.2.4 to 7.5.6. It failed.

    First question is, in the latest version of umbraco, you cannot add properties to the properties tab. If you cannot do this and you have properties in your current properties tab, and your current installation has custom properties here, then what is suppose to happen when you upgrade between these versions?

    There were other errors but want to an answer to this question first,

    Hi Damon,

    I've recently been through a similar experience.

    However, packages, e.g. we have recently installed ezSearch, or older instances being upgraded which define properties that do not have a tab will still appear on the Properties tab as expected - you will still be able to see them in the document type as well classified under a tab called Generic properties and you can add new properties to this tab.

    Therefore the only issue is that you cannot create new properties for new document types on that tab but older document types should still allow it to maintain backwards compatibility.
