    Translation workflow issues

I'm looking into using the Translation feature of Umbraco 7 but it is leaving me quite underwhelmed.

    • Page A > Send to translation > Translator A
    • Translator A logins and downloads the XML file for Page A
    • Translator A translates the content of the XML file for Page A
    • Translator A uploads the translated XML file for Page A
    • Translator A clicks the Preview link to compare the Translation and Original version of Page A and is present with the following

Translation version: The current user doesn't have access to the section/app 'content'

Original version: The current user doesn't have access to the section/app 'content'

    • After granting Translator A access to the Content section, they now see the following

Translation version: 404 page not found (currently unpublished)

Original version: The preview of page A

In summary, I'm struggling to get my head round how best to utilise the Translation section of Umbraco.

    • Does a translation user need access to the Content section?
    • Does a page need to be published to be able to preview it?
    • Am I using the Translation section incorrectly?
