    Umbraco Hosting - UK

I'm trying to find recommended UK hosting. I did sign up with Names.co.uk but unfortunately our developer was unable to load the site as the hosting was load balancing and the site is not capable of being loaded to such hosting.

Can anyone recommend hosting? I am not at all technical and don't wish to make the same mistake again.

The developer can offer their own hosting, and are not familiar with other offerings.

    Hi Linda

I know that one of our customers used https://www.heg.com/ and https://www.heartinternet.uk

Umbraco definitely works fine with it.

Another option is to use Umbraco Cloud solution, look please - https://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Umbraco-Cloud/

    Hope it will help you

    /Alex

I use Netcetera and I've a couple of sites on there now. Reliable and I find the price not too bad either.

Thanks for the recommendations. Has anyone used Umbraco's own cloud hosting solution?

I have looked at Heart Internet - looks good but apparently they have been taken over recently and reviews are not looking so good.

    Hi Linda

We are using Umbraco Cloud from the beginning. It's really great framework, I would recommend it to you.

    Just check before using it:

    1) Is it suitable price?

    2) Do you want to use some special packages on your site? check compatibility of these packages with Umbraco Cloud

I hope it will help you.

    Thanks,

    Alex

Well, the price of the starter package looks ok to me. Do you know how many domains you can register there? We have 1 site, but 4 register domains in total.

Also, I don't see support listed under the Starter package which is a concern.

There is no problem in adding multiple domains to a project on Umbraco Cloud.

Are you talking about the starter kit "Fanoe"? If so, I don't think you would run into any problems.

Linda, with Umbraco Cloud you will have great support from Umbraco Team, they are the best, I had few situations when whey helped me a lot and this is in real time.

Also don't forget about automatic upgrade your project to latest Umbraco.

    Thanks,

    Alex
