Hi Guys,
How can I add an external link in a Rich Text Editor, this is the version I'm on Umbraco version 7.5.9 assembly: 1.0.6260.19655

Hi Andrew,
and welcome to the Umbraco Community forum.
When you are using the RTE you can easily add links ( internal as external ) using the insert/edit link button on your RTE.
On the image below you can see the RTE where the 4th element from the right is the button you need.
Then you will get a dialog where you can edit the link details as shown below:
Link to document is the url to the external document.

Thanks for the response, literally after I posted it I worked it out. The thing that threw me was there was an existing link with the start theme and textbox where you put the url was disabled.
