Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to add properties to the Generic properties tab.
However, you can add a "Common" tab yourself and set it's sort order to a high number (i.e. 99) and add your property to that tab. Setting a high number for the sort order brings the tab next to the Properties tab and makes sure it's always the last tab (if you don't have 100 tabs on your document type, that is ;-))
Compositions inheritance on Properites tab.
Umbraco v7.5.8
I would like to incorporate Checkbox on existing document via composition technique (which became available recently in Umbraco).
Everything works fine except I would like to include the checkbox on the default Properties tab. Is that possible?
Have you tried giving the tab in the composition the same name as the default tab?
Yep. And ended up with 2 tabs having identical names: "Properties".

Hope this helps.
