I'm using Umbraco on a mac and was given the instructions below by a PC user in order to add a block to a page. When I ctrl click (the usual equivalent to right click) the option 'add page block' does not appear on the dropdown menu. Please can anyone advise how to add a wysiwyg block on a mac?
Many thanks
"Go to the page you want to put the block on.
In the column on the right, right click and 'add page block'
Choose wysiwyg block
The usual text editor window will open. Top left of it click on HTML.
I am not 100% certain what the 'page block' is refering to. Is there a package that handles components for a page? If so, what is the package and what version.
What version of Umbraco is being used.
Just because you are on a mac shouldn't really make much of a difference.
Looks like it would have been using a custom package to allow for Widgets to be added to the page. Therefore this would lay with the build of the site, rather than Umbraco itself.
As previously stated, the fact you are on a mac shouldn't have an impact on the usage. If it is no longer working, then i would recommend you contact the developer to have a look at the issue, as there could be an error being recorded in the logs.
Its going to be very difficult for people to assist with a unknown/possible custom built package.

Hi Richard,
Thanks for your response. I'm new to using Umbraco so not sure how things are set up. The version of Umbraco is v4.
Attached is a screen grab of a final page which has had a 'block' or 'widget' added. Circled in red.

Gotcha. I will contact the developer. Thank you so much for your help!
