    Doesn't work on Server 2016 IIS

    Fresh Windows Server 2016 Datacenter edition (running in AWS)

    Setup and install IIS, put a dotnet core website and standard ASP.Net website on to make sure all is OK with IIS

    Create a new website, follow exact install instructions for Umbraco. Tried through WPI, Nuget and manual.

    Tried it on 3 VMs running 2016 datacenter. All give the same result.

    No errors in the log files, no errors in inet log files, no event viewer errors.

    Open up the umbraco website http://localhost and it redirects me to http://localhost/install/?redir=true&url=http%3a%2f%2flocalhost%3a81%2f

    A server error occurred

    This is most likely due to an error during application startup Did you know

    {{installer.feedback}}

    No matter what page I go to it shows this.

    The folder has full permissions, IIS is configured correct etc...

    I follow this exact same procedure on a Windows 10 machine and it works perfectly fine. The issue is with Server 2016 Datacenter and also with IIS as if I open the website folder with WebMatrix (which runs it through IIS Express) it also works fine

    Fixed. Had to add "Authorized Users" to the IIS website folder too. Only needed on Server 2016 for some reason
