    Login to back-end issue

After upgrading to 7.5.13 I cannot seem to login to the back-end on the server as the admin. It still works fine in localhost, but not the back-end.

Could this be a bug? The localhost and server version are identical (ms databases as well).

Any easy ways to reset password for the back-end on the server? I cannot seem to reset using forgot my password either :s (and yes, I am using the correct login credentials, as well as email address).

    Hi Bobi

If you are using identical databases between localhost and the server version, and you have successful username and password combination for localhost, then I think something else is going awry on the server version, other than resetting the password.

When you fail to login are there any errors in the browser console ?

And any errors reported in the trace logs /app_data/logs ?

Can the server version definately definately access the database?

    regards

    Marc

    Hi,

Yes, I agree. No browser console errors. I'll check the logs. The server version can definitely access the database...what I will do is kill that database and copy the localhost one over.

Still the same issue. After re-uploading everything and copying over the ms sql database onto the server, I am still getting the same issue. I can login to the backend on localhost but not on the server.

    Ok, this is quite strange...

Through some trial and error "debugging", I've determined that it's due to an IIS rewrite rule: the LowerCaseRule.

It's very strange that this would affect the backend login...most unexpected, but nevertheless glad that it's solved.
