Hi, I have started and deployed a blank umbraco starter website. I can run and edit the website on local .net express service, however, when I run it from IIS or a deployed version of umbraco, I can edit the website and use umbraco management pages, but the website will not render my templates giving me an error message "No physical template file was found for template Home".
What do I need to do to fix that? I checked the forums, and normally the issue is caused my custom controls. But all my controls are out-of-the-box umbraco starter kit.
I checked with the admin. I have "Full access" folder permissions for my site.
This is the error that I am getting: http://skensberg.gear.host
If you can think of any other solutions I'd appreciate it.
Alex, you've hit the nail on the head! Yeah, templates were missing. I don't know why but the blank umbraco template had its files in View Folder removed from project by default.
Just had to click View hidden files and include them in the project.
Thanks so much! :)
Templates do not render using cloud or IIS

Hi Elvis
Can you check, please, folders permissions?
It should be like here - https://our.umbraco.org/documentation/getting-started/setup/install/permissions
Thanks,
Alex

Hi
Can you edit templates if you go to Umbraco backend -> Settings -> Templates?
Thanks,
Alex

You are welcome, Elvis, glad to help.

Thanks so much Alex, I'm looking into it now. Note https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHMp2Z7y9sQ for local ISS or https://support.gearhost.com/hc/en-us/articles/200342205-How-to-give-write-access-to-files-for-IUSR for cloud based sites.
