Url alias of page doesn't work if there is a page with an ID of the alias

    Hi,

Not sure if anyone else has encountered this, but I was trying to create an URL alias using Umbraco Url Alias with an alias of "2017". Turns out I had a node with an ID of 2017 so it rendered instead of the page the alias was assigned to.

Thoughts on how to get around that?

In an umbracoUrlAlias field on the document.

You need to set the URL first in IIS. Before that make sure, you have added the url in DNS entry. Sorry, if my answer is not matching your question.

Yeah, not really related to the server or the URL of the site at all. Its just that Umbraco apparently will render a node by its ID if a number that matches a node ID is passed into the Umbraco URL Alias field in the back office.
