I had this too, in my case the issue was that the images were too large; some were over 5000x5000, others were just massive files.
I went through an resized all the images that were over 5000x5000 to about 4500x4500, and ran them through Jpegmini.
After doing so, I don't recall if they images started showing up, but I went in and added tags to the images and resaved them, now I do not have the issue.
So, it might be worth checking the file sizes to see if you are within range, and/or depending on your configuration either make them smaller, or update the imageprocessor's processing.config settings to allow larger images.
No media thumbnails in backend
Hi,
I have just installed the latest version of Umbraco in my application and uploaded a few images to the media section.
The upload process works fine but the media thumbnails are empty. (See image below):
I can see the image by clicking at the "Link to media" link, so the image has been uploaded to the server.
I have compared the settings for the image data type with other projects and everything seems to be correct.
Hope anyone can help me with this strange problem.
Hi Lars
Can you look at browser console, network tab, and try to find these images there are.
What status code of server answer? Can you look at Umbraco log also?
Thanks,
Alex
