Is "Slimsy" still a relevent package for responsive images in Umbraco via Slimmage, or is there a more recent package?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Not tried it, but...
I think the days of using javascript to manage image resizing are numbered. You may want to explore more native HTML/CSS ways to display optimal images at different viewports.

I have Slimsy working on a site running 7.6.3 and using version 1.1.7 of Slimsy installed via NuGet. I haven't seen any issues.
