Rats... either I'm doing something wrong or Favicon generator isn't outputting the correct format.
I renamed the original favicon.ico in the root of my web copied up several varriaions of the png's that were produced by it all as favicon.ico and it made no impact on the image on the tab.
Was I wrong to accept the default settings when generating the icon zip?
Have you tried the site in another browser that hasn't yet visited the site? In my experience, the browser makes a cache of the .ico file and holds onto it with a death grip.
Where do I got to change the U on the browser tab?
My first site under Umbraco is coming along nicely... I want to replace the U with a K to better represent my site.
How do I go about doing this? Where do I look. Doesn't appear to be configure in the 'backoffice'
Thanks, Kip...
Hi, Kip.
You need to drop a file titled, favicon.ico, in the root of your website.
There are many sites that may help you generate a .ico file from an image. For example: http://www.favicon-generator.org/
Thanks Matt
