I'm just looking at setting up different editors and practicing setting permissions to another account that I have.
I run one account in one browser as administrator, and then another account (with separate email etc) in another browser as an editor.
I've been finding that when I set some permissions for the account as an editor they sometimes don't come through immediately. I've been finding that if I perhaps leave it an hour and then go back and refresh the browser for the editor view that I'll then see the updated correct permissions.
Usually I tell people to log out and log back in again if I change their permissions, I'm not sure why, I mean I've always just suggested that as a general thing... but I guess it would clear any caching of their permissions that might be occurring? (and an hour later the session will have timed out etc)
So maybe Change your permissions, log your user out and back in again, are the new permissions immediately reflected?
Delay in permissions changing
Hi
I'm just looking at setting up different editors and practicing setting permissions to another account that I have.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
Thanks Graham
Hi Graham
Usually I tell people to log out and log back in again if I change their permissions, I'm not sure why, I mean I've always just suggested that as a general thing... but I guess it would clear any caching of their permissions that might be occurring? So maybe Change your permissions, log your user out and back in again, are the new permissions immediately reflected?
