Difficulty in understanding Umbraco 7.6 Starter Kit

I managed to understand structure of this starter kit, but what I really don't understand is how to add new product(under products content node) in this starter kit?

I can see, I can add new person in people content node but why not new product in products node?

So far I have tried looking how products are rendered and according to my finding all products are child items under products node.

    Please help

Hi Usman and welcome to our.

All new thing can be difficult the first time. But let me see how I can help you.

What you need to do, to be able to new products in products node, is to allow the product document type to be a child of the projects document type.

Try to see this video that should explain how you solve it, and make it possible to make more products.

    Hope this helps,

Thanks Dennis. It works, but I don't exactly get why create button doesn't appear in video tutorial in the right section just as it is appearing for starter kit. Screenshot of starter kit

    Hi Usman,

Did you not get the create product like you have in the screenshot? if you have it like the above screenshot, then it because you are using a list view for the products.

Try to see this video. https://umbraco.tv/videos/umbraco-v7/implementor/fundamentals/document-types/list-view-and-templates-menu/

    Best,

    /Dennis
