We are using directional DNS vs traditional load-balancing for our two servers.
Current setup:
Server 1 Location
Server 2 Location
This is working great, however our database keeps locking during the file transfer due to robocopy locking the database file.
My thoughts are to migrate SQL CE to SQL 2014 and use Merge replication (most likely - need to verify).
We need the best-practice method and tips on how to replicate the same servers with the exact same information.
We only have Umbraco web portal accessible from the Server 1.
Has anyone been able to achieve this file replication successfully without losing/missing data on the second site?
Thanks,
