    Forgot password? - email not working

    I've tried to get the "Forgot password?" email working locally without success. In order to test it, smtp4dev is installed and the firewall switched off. This is my web.config smtp part enter image description here

    And this is my umbracoSettings part

    I am getting the success message from umbraco when i try to send me a mail

    When i use the Health check of the SMTP settings, everything seems fine and i can immediately see the session in smtp4dev. But no mails, no matter what.

    Hi there

    Do you have any other code generating emails on the same site ? If so have you tested they are getting sent to the same domain / email address ?

    Just ensuring Umbraco is the issue and not your mail server.

    Found the Error, everything is working fine now.

    It was just chrome suggesting some other email address in the input field than in the login - and apparently i overlooked that many many times...
