I've just installed v7.7.1 of Umbraco and wonder if there is a way to change the username from email to just a username.
We have a general username people in the company use when administering our sites (I know, I know, bad us). In the past we've manually changed the username in the CMS after initial setup of the site however with the new users section there doesn't seem to be a way to do this.

Can the username of a user no longer be changed?

I think it is a bug in the latest release. It has been flagged by someone else and raised on the issue tracker: https://t.co/peirxsVbuh
Hopefully, it will get resolved as a matter of urgency :-)

Feel free to vote on the issue and add any extra details to help ensure it gets addressed sooner rather than later.
I didn't actually realise there was a setting in the umbracoSettings that allowed you to pick :$ Been a while since I got to do a new Umbraco install.
And when I find out it's bugged :( I've voted the issue, hopefully it gets resolved soon.
