I have a blog page with different articles, i need author name, counter and post date inside the each article, I have found a reference , I need to install plugins and i want to get that done with easier way.
You don't need any plugins, you'll just need to create a few datatypes, date, author, etc on the article document type and then render them in your template / partials.
The post you reference is specific to Archetype, not Umbraco in general.
