    How to make TinyMce (rich text editor) support HTML5

    I am trying to use html5

    and
    tags and the default configuration of Tinymce3 automatically removes these tags.

    The offical Tinymce3 documentation says to configure it to use html5 in the tinymce.Init{}

    http://archive.tinymce.com/tryit/3x/html5formats.php

    This must be a common problem. I have searched and not found the current answer to this issue.
