    Is it safe to update Nuget dependencies?

    I'm new to Umbraco and I have a new installation setup.

    I noticed that there are a lot of updates available to dependencies of Umbraco. From Microsoft dependencies to third party tools like Lucene, Automapper, ImageProcessor and NewtonSoft.Json as examples.

    My question is,

    is it safe to update these dependencies (30 in total) or does Umbraco only support these specific versions that came with the installation?
