Duplicate portion of Content tree for new users with specific editor group start node
Hey all. Just wondering if anyone has seen this issue before and/or could verify it's a bug? This is 7.8.1.
I have a content structure like this:
Organisation
Website
Home
About us
Blog
Etc...
Most editors will only need access to the 'Home' node and children. So I've modified the 'editor' user group so that 'Home' is the selected start node.
However, when I invite a new editor, they log in and get a weird duplication of the home node in the content tree. What they see in the content tree is:
Home
About us
Blog
Etc...
Organisation (greyed out)
Website (greyed out)
Home
About us
Blog
Etc...
So they get the home node and children as expected, but then a duplicate of the whole tree underneath.
Anything obvious I'm missing, or is this indeed a bug?

I'm leaving this here 'for the record' but apparently there's already a bug reported for it: http://issues.umbraco.org/issue/U4-10995.
