The old URLRewriting module was removed in (I think) version 7.6 and best practice is generally to use IIS Rewriting.
In the version specific upgrade notes for version 7.6 it talks about removing the entries from the web config as it's no longer shipped. I believe it was an inefficient module which is why it was removed. the IIS Rewriting module is considered much better.
Is the UrlRewriting stuff obsolete in new versions?
Hi,
is UrlRewriting being phased out?
Does that mean no reference are required in web.config and that the config file UrlRewriting.config is not required?
Thanks
