    Using SQL Always encrypted with Umbraco

    Hi everyone, I’m trying to use Microsoft Always Encryption to encrypt a couple of columns within the Umbraco database.

    When I encrypt one of the columns like the Email column within the cmsMember table, then I try to create a new member I receive an error;

    Operand type clash: nvarchar is incompatible with nvarchar(1000) encrypted with (encryptiontype = 'DETERMINISTIC',

    Any advice or pointers much appreciated ;)

    Hi Tom,

    I realise this is a few years(!) later however did you ever manage to get SQL Always Encrypted working on the email field in cmsMember. I have literally the same requirement that I have posted about here, and am interested in whether or not you resolved this -
