We recently upgraded to 7.10.4 from 6.x. We're finding our feet a little, but gradually getting down to the smaller items and 'nice to have' bits.
In the Media section we have multiple folders and sub-folders with a fair chunk of media in them.
We've a couple of questions related to media if anyone can assist?
In the older version clicking in a folder would expand it in the tree-view and show sub-folders. Now that doesn't happen and we are left with a somewhat difficult to use list on the right with a combination of folders/images etc. Is there any way to set the tree-view to expand to show the sub-folders?
Is there much in the way of configurable options regarding the Media section? One thing I'd be particularly keen on would be to only allow users to upload content into certain sub-folders. Is that possible?
When we use the media picker to add media to content times it's very slow for large media folders, brilliant for smaller ones. Is there any general best practice? I presume keeping a handle on the number of items in folders? Is there anyway we can suppress the thumbnails to boost performance or generally improve the performance of the listing?
The media search in the newer versions is much improved, but as far as we can see it only searches the folder that the user is in. Can that be expanded?
