    Restricting the media section

    This is a problem I am revisiting from the past, but I want to restrict groups of users from having access to the media section e.g creating new media, but I want them to be able to pick images, files from the media section.

    At the moment when I do this I get the following screen enter image description here

    I'm back to this same issue, not sure if anyone has come across this.

    I want to stop people uploading media, but allow them to pick them in editors.

    When I restrict the media section it asks for a username and a password when selecting them in the richtext editor?
