How to get rid of entries in the Trace Log tree?

    Hi all,

I have an Umbraco v7.4.3 on Umbraco Cloud which has been running for some time (years).

The Trace Log is utterly useless at the moment, since the first 45(!) nodes are all named with today's date (2018-08-29) but it's impossible to see which one actually contains today'slog entries (a bug, I'm sure, but annoying nevertheless).

I'd like to essentially empty out all the nodes and start over, to get some clarity while debugging, as the site is very slow at times and I need to find out what's causing it.

Are these DB-entries or are they actual files I need to delete from some folder?

    /Chriztian

    Hi Chriztian
Currently Diplo's Log Viewer package that we ship on Umbraco cloud reads .txt log files off disk.

So you can download and backup the .txt log files via Kudu in site/wwwroot/App_Data/Logs/ before you have a tidy up in that folder and delete some very old log files in there.

    Hope that helps.
    Warren :)

    Thanks Warren,

Looks like the files in that directory are very old - all named something like "CourierTraceLog.txt.2017-05-28".

Something must have changed since v7.4.3 ...

    /Chriztian
