NEED HELP: How do I Clean up Umbraco after failed package Installation?

    Hi All,

I was manually installing PipelineCRM and it failed to install. Now I cannot run my application and am getting an exception.

How do I clean my application to get rid of the error.

    Hi Rodrick,

    Welcome to the Umbraco Community!

I see you mentioned installing the plugin manually, do you mean copying the files to the correct directory?

Could it be that you missed some files during this copy? More specific the files in the folder ~/App_plugins/PipelineCRM/Lang ?

If you copy the correct files to this folder, maybe your problem will be solved.

    Hope this helps!

    /Michaël

there is a dll in the bin-folder, containing some code that is trigged at ApplicationStarted. The code tries to load the lang-file.

Just remove that dll -- I guess it's called something "GrowCreate..".

Can't you just revert your commit? :)

    Wow! Thanks Soren,

This is the trick. I removed the .dll file. All working.

    I appreciate your assistance.

I will also try to revert the commit if it happens, sound great too.

    Much appreciated. :)

    Hi Michael,

    Thank you for the response.

I have actually downloaded a zip file from Our Umbraco and dragged it into the packages section. After a while, the installation hanged and I stopped it. This has resulted in breaking the application.

    Regards, Rodrick

Is the package added to the installed packages in the backoffice? If so, you could try to start the uninstall process to see if that helps.

Otherwise, try the solution Søren Gregersen mentions.

    Hope this helps!
