Database is 2008 SQL Server. I exported the data from my local machine to a remote server with a new empty database. I did nothing regarding machinekey
Always I respond in the forum it is based on situations that I have gone through. When I export by sql script, I have had problems with this. I do not know why but when I exported an Umbraco database, the primary keys were lost. See if that's not it. The only secure way I found was to generate a .bak backup and import on the other server
Can't login to backoffice. Fully deployed.
I've deployed a website and I can't login to the backoffice. I can login locally.
I tried creating a new user in the db but that didn't work either. I also tried using the 'forgot password' link and that failed as well.
some questions:
What database? did you restore from a backup or generated script?
Changed machinekey?
