We're wanting to move our Umbraco-built web platform onto a Cloud Computing service. I was assuming that Azure would be the best choice here because of the whole .NET/Windows thing, but does it actually matter?

I know that an Umbraco build can also be deployed onto AWS, for example, so is either a "better" choice (in terms of tech/features rather than cost)?

I saw Umbraco Cloud but, as it's a managed service for Azure, I thought it might be better to go directly with Azure? I generally avoid managed services in case I find I want to have access to one of those services that is managed.

What is the difference between Umbraco Cloud and hosting directly with Azure? Will I still have access to all the Azure Products?
