    Uploading Media: an error has occured

    Trying to upload media and getting a red error has occured; logs are quite big but seems repeated alot

    I have not, but I can temporarily fix it by clearing all data in chrome via f12 > application > clear storage, so I think its cookies of some sort, but it soon breaks again.

    Solved it.. my azure production was working on 64bit platform settings instead of 32 bit. I changed that i could upload again xlsx files. weird

    Seeing the same issue with Umbraco 7.13.2; tried different browsers, dumping cache in browser, dumping the umbraco cache/temp, and also setting the IIS App Pool to allow 32bit execution. Unfortunately, none of those things fixed it for us.

    Anyone have a fix?

    Edit -- other things I've tried:

    • Upgrading to Umbraco 7.15.3
    • Server reboot
    • Restarting the site in IIS
    • Stopping/Starting the App Pool in IIS
    • Firefox, IE, Chrome, Opera, and Edge's Chromium Beta -- all the same issue.

    One other thing I also just tried: We have two sites -- one for production and one for staging. I'm able to upload my PDF just fine on production, however, on staging it doesn't upload. So I made a full copy of production and overwrote staging with it. After turning staging back on, redeploying staging, and dumping the cache/temp, the same issue still occurs.
